I'd like to sincerely thank all those who turned out for the show at club spin last night. I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding musical experiences of my life and the turnout from the MWMC community was outstanding. It's awesome to see that we've got so many great friends and loved ones who are willing to come out and support what we do.
The night started out with myself and Notey rocking out on acoustic guitars playing under the name 'The Pissed Off Catfish'. We opened with Ragin followed by In the City, Chicaka, and $100 and a Guitar Pick. We felt good about the short set and we were very grateful for the kind remarks we received from the crowd. Next up was Teethpussy. As promised, Teethpussy put on a stellar show. Special thanks to the sound guy for providing the perfect mix. Thick Nixon and Mailbox Fence exhibited career defining performances. Wheelie Freeze, Lon Sharton, Roger That, and Mick Member locked in the groove to give the crowd an especially exhilarating experience. Again thanks so much for all the kind words of support.
Headliners, Spacehate, did not disappoint! Spacehate played Club Spin exactly six months ago and delivered an exceptional performance. This one was made even better by the addition of Eugene McGee on bass. That is one funky mutherfucker! The intoxicating mixture of funk, jazz, and hip hop kept the crowd's heads bumpin all night long. If anyone has a setlist from the performance please post it. Redafined kept the tables spinnin, Kap'n Cron delivered both on the drumset and on vocals, $C was spittin his sickass shit, and Beatz delivered an exceptional performance as always.
Special thanks to Club Spin for having us and to the MWMC nation for the killer turnout. I had an amazing time and the music was out of sight. All and all an awsome evening of tunes, booze, and good friends.
